Nothing Without Belinda

Nothing Without Belinda is a mixed choir currently based in Erskineville. NWB has been running for over 13 years and sings stuff from around the world, from traditional choral works to contemporary pop arrangements.

Conceived in a Wilson Street loungeroom, NWB still inhabits the inner city but draws its members from near and far. They have always placed an emphasis on having fun as much as sounding good; and as they've developed they have chosen the songs they sing with the aim of making a statement about life, love and liberation.

NWB released a CD, Waterloo Tuesdays, in 2004 and over the years have performed at a wide range of events and venues – from weddings to festivals, from Reverse Garbage to the Manly Ferry to the Sydney Opera House.

Recently NWB has been developing a multimedia collaboration based on several Bulgarian folk songs. There is no truth to the rumour that their name may change to Nothing Without Bulgaria …

When are they on?  Saturday September 13, 4pm
